Alia dissolves Benue executive council, appoints ex-justice commissioner as chief of staff

Hyacinth Alia, governor of Benue, has dissolved the state’s executive council.

Tersoo Kula, chief press secretary (CPS) to the governor, said in a statement that the decision was made at the conclusion of the 12th meeting of the executive council on Wednesday.

Alia expressed gratitude to the outgoing commissioners for their two years of service, urging those not reappointed to remain active within the party and continue contributing to the state’s development.

He clarified that the dissolution affects only the commissioners, with the chief of staff position being a new appointment.
