NSCDC Parades Four Persons For issuing tickets to tricyclists in Lokoja township.
Kogi State directives banning all Unions in the State Transportation sector from collecting daily fees on government infrastructure (road) under the broad heading of Infrastructure Maintenance Levy have caught up with four unrepentant persons in Lokoja.
Parading the suspects at the headquarters of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Umar Yakubu,
Mohammed Danjuma
Agulu Yahaya and
Ibrahim Yabagi caught in the act, were paraded before Newsmen.
Addressing the press, Abdullahi Aliyu DSC, PRO NSCDC, said the suspects are being charged for Criminal conspiracy and illegal collection of revenue.
According to the NSCDC spokesperson, the suspects were caught issuing tickets to tricyclists in Lokoja township.
He however added that the suspects will be charged to court after the completion of investigation, warned others who are yet to comply with the new law banning daily collection of revenue.
- In their separate remarks, the suspects claimed ignorance of the new law, while others denied the charges levied against them.
